Create A Hyper-Profitable Affiliate Business From Scratch

23. Affiliates – There are many affiliate networks, such as FlexOffers and CJ Affiliate that allow you to promote other people’s products and services. You simply put a link or a banner on your page and then you get a percentage if someone clicks through and buys the product/service. You’ll want to select products that are specifically within your blog’s category. This is an effective way to earn money once you have the traffic coming to your blog.

22. Advertising – This is definitely the most old-school way of earning money with a blog. It’s also starting to become the least common way. You can sell advertising spots directly on your site or you can sign up with a company like Google AdSense or Media.net. Either way, you won’t see a whole lot of money from ads until your views are well into the thousands each day.

Hey Welhilm, from your comment I assume you mean you’d like to help companies promote their brands on social media channels, such as Facebook, Twitter & Instagram? There’s certainly a lot of money to be made in this area, but you should also be aware that there’s a lot of competition so you would need to really have a unique selling point to make yourself stand out. An easy way to find companies to reach out too would be to simply search local companies in your area & then check to see if they already have a presence on social media – if they don’t then you could reach out and offer them your help, for a charge. Hope that helps.
If there’s a subject that you’re an expert on then you can make money by offering private coaching through services like Clarity. Rates vary, but for the average 30 minute session you could typically expect to earn around $50 – you’re in charge of your own rate and you can set it accordingly. Once you’ve joined clarity they’ll make sure that people looking for advice can find you & all you need to do is wait for the calls to come in.
Hi Brian! Very good and exactly what I was looking for. I have a problem though, we are creating the first video editing software that edits video WHILE FILMING. We are video geeks with a lot of experience, however we are trying to appeal to GoPro users and video tutorial makers but we have little knowledge in that field. Any suggestions on how we write about that if we have no idea about the space?
Not sure exactly why, perhaps I used a number too big and since my page is about classifieds, it probably seemed too much to browse through 1500 ads, I assume? Somewhat like you would post 800 tips for better ranking? Don’t know, will try to change things a bit and see how it goes, but you really gave me some new suggestions to go for with this article. Thanks again 🙂
A site called User Testing will actually pay you a fee to evaluate websites. It typically pays you $10 for each video that you review – which typically takes about 20 minutes. If the work is there, and you are particularly good at it, you could earn up to $30 per hour. That’s a pretty solid pay rate for a work-at-home job. You wouldn’t have to work a whole lot of hours to generate a decent part-time monthly income.
I really enjoyed your post, im building my own business from the ground up making custom furniture, lighting, and home decor. it took me a year to launch my website and now im trying to invite more traffic and ways for clients and interested parties to share my content and start buying my product. I liked the idea of Share triggers… im going to be incorporating that into my social media strategies. Any advice would go a long way. thanks again Brian
19. eBay – Of course you can’t read an article about making money online that doesn’t mention eBay. You can start an eBay store and get serious about it or you can just sell some stuff to declutter your home. Either way, I’ve made my fair share from selling on eBay and it’s still a popular way to earn money. If you decide to start an actual eBay store, you’ll want to find a drop-ship business like Doba that will store and ship items straight to your customers so you don’t have to deal with an inventory.
Brian, great post as always! Question: Do you consider authority sites (industry portals) a form of “influencer marketing?” e.g. guest blogging, etc? In some niches there are not so many individuals who are influencers (outside of journalists) but there are sites that those in the industry respect. I am in the digital video space and for me one site is actually a magazine that is building a very strong digital presence. Thanks, keep up the good work!
While with search advertising, you’re paying to show up in the top spot for relevant searches, with social media advertising you are paying to show up in relevant feeds. With both forms of advertising, you can specify the type of audience in front of which you’d like to appear, but with more psychographic data, social media offers superb targeting.

Whilst entering competitions is mainly down to luck & doesn’t provide a guaranteed income you’d be quite surprised at just how many people have given up their day jobs to take “comping” up as a full time occupation. It’s said that there’s around 30,000 competitions running at any time in the UK which means providing you enter enough of them then your chances of coming out with a prize could be fairly high. With some prizes being worth over 50k it only takes one big win to set yourself up for a full year.

The problem that most people face isn't about how they can setup a website or even start a blog; it's about how they can actually drive traffic to that digital destination floating about in the bits and bytes of cyberspace. If you're not a seasoned digital sleuth yourself, you've likely struggled with getting the proverbial word out through a variety of forms of online marketing.
Medium is one of my go-to platforms for marketing my content and provides another authority-site domain that gives you the versatility of link-dropping the way that you normally would through any blog post on a CMS like WordPress. Leverage Medium to create intuitive content marketing posts that also link back to your primary posts on your site or blog.
The most basic and straightforward way is to use Google Analytics. And I'm not just talking about installing Google Analytics. I'm talking about using the UTM (short for Urchin Tracking Module, which relates to the old Urchin analytics system that Google acquired to create its tracking tool) variables that exist in Google's Analytics to ensure that you know where they're coming from.
Brian, I recently found your blog by following OKDork.com. Just want to say you’re really amazing with the content you put out here. It’s so helpful, especially for someone like me who is just starting out. I’m currently writing posts for a blog I plan to launch later this year. I think my niche is a little too broad and I have to figure out how to narrow it down. I essentially want to write about my current journey of overcoming my fears to start accomplishing the dreams i have for blogging, business, and travel. In doing so, I will share the best tips, tools, and tactics I can find, as well as what worked, what didn’t and why.

By using cashback websites like TopCashBack or Quidco you can get paid for shopping online. Sites like these work with a whole load of retailers & when you shop with them rather than going to the retailers own website they get paid a commission. Being the generous folks that they are they then give some of that commission back to you in the form of “cashback”.

Blogging is something that requires patience, persistence and discipline. It may mean writing everyday for over a year before you really start to see any money from it. There are exceptions to the rule, but from my dealings with other bloggers, it seems to be pretty common to spend one or even two years building your blog, your brand and your authority, before making any serious amount of money.
It’s one of the oldest and most proven ways to make money – buy low, sell high. The buy low part comes from searching garage sales, estate sales, and even thrift stores to find items that are in good condition (“gently used”) but selling well below what they would if they were brand-new. In this way, you might be able to acquire an item for $5, and later sell it for $50.
The best way to convert cold and warm traffic into sales is to draft content and create images (on your website, blog, newsletters, etc.) that actually resonate with your target audiences. You can figure this out by doing a little research on what ails your audience. Building an emotional connection with your audience in your sales funnel will let them know you understand their pain points and problems and have a product or service that will help reconcile that problem. - Kristin Kimberly Marquet, Marquet Media, LLC
Turo pays you via direct deposit within five days. According to their site, you’ll earn “65% to 85% of the trip price, depending on the vehicle protection package you choose. If you have commercial rental insurance to cover you, your car, and your customers and would like to waive vehicle protection provided via Turo, you earn 90% of the trip price.”
Truebill: Once you’re done creating a free account and connecting your bank and credit card accounts, Truebill goes to work and analyzes your finances. It will find subscriptions you may want to cancel, negotiates bills on your behalf, tracks and categorizes your spending, and automates saving to help reach your goals. The app is free to download and use, but premium features come with a price. Similar to BillShark, Truebill’s negotiation commission is 40% of savings.

Do not be fooled by those traffic sellers promising thousands of hits an hour. What they really do is load up your URL in a program, along with a list of proxies. Then they run the program for a few hours. It looks like someone is on your site because your logs show visitors from thousands of different IPs. What happens in reality is your website is just pinged by the proxy, no one really sees your site. It is a waste of money.
Who knew you could be paid to listen to music? Slicethepie is the largest paid review site on the internet that pays you to listen to music and write detailed reviews. How much you'll earn per review varies by the quality of your review. A.k.a. the more detailed and constructive, the better. The minimum payment is $10, so once you've reviewed enough songs to earn at least $10, your money will be sent to you via a direct payments on PayPal.

If you’ve got a bit of spare time on your hands then answering paid surveys online is a great (and rewarding) way to fill it. The surveys are normally fairly short and sweet & you’ll earn money each time you complete one. There are a whole load of different networks such as Global Test Market, Ipsos, Swagbucks & you can sign up to as many as you like.
#41 is not accurate at all. There are a ton of safety and sanitation regulations that come with operating a salon out of your home. You need to have several licenses, not the least of which includes a cosmetology or barber education. While laws vary from place to place, it is important to do research before deciding to do something like that. Charging people to cut their hair without proper education and preparations is incredibly irresponsible.
Using something called “vehicle wrapping” companies can put adverts on your car and remove them without damaging the paintwork. If you’re happy to drive around with a few ads on your car then you’ll be glad to know companies like Comm-motion (edit – sadly Comm-motion has since closed) will pay you to do just that. You can earn over £200 a month however the amount you earn will depend on how many ads your willing to put on your car, the more you put on the more money you’ll earn. They’ll generally be willing to put ads on cars of all shapes and sizes but they’ll most likely require your vehicle to be fairly new and in good condition.
Brian hello! First off I want to THANK YOU for this fantastic post. I can’t emphasize that enough. I have this bookmarked and keep going through it to help boost our blog. I totally nerded out on this, especially the LSI keywords which made my day. I know, pathetic, right? But when so much changes in SEO all the time, these kinds of posts are so helpful. So thanks for this. So no question – just praise, hope that’s ok 😁
It’s something akin to picking stocks. You want to buy undervalued domains, and sell them later on at a higher price. For example, you can pick a domain that is out of favor, but could be related to some future event. So if you decide that the stock market is likely to crash in the future, you can buy a domain that includes the words stock market crash during a rising market, and then sell it in a falling market.
Peer to peer lending allows you to legally lend your money online & receive interest on the amount you borrow. Whilst the amount of money you’ll make will depend on how much you lend the interest rates do tend to be fairly reasonable. Sites like Zopa take out the hassle & make the process really easy by matching savers with individuals who want to borrow. You simply put your money into your Zopa account & they’ll lend it out to borrowers in small chunks, then as they pay it back each month with the added interest your money begins to grow.
The internet is full of people looking for writers to produce content for things like websites, adverts & newsletters. If you enjoy writing then it could be just the job for you, especially with sites like Textbroker paying around £5 to £30 per article. You’ll never fall short of jobs either as they’re hundreds posting daily on websites like Freelancer & Elance.
